Help, I followed instructions on a youtube video that perhaps didn't apply to me and now I can't access my finished locally hosted site. In WP settings I changed the wordpress address (url) and the site address from the local 127.0.0.1:8080 to my new site address. Now I cannot access my bitnami stack, my wordpress admin (dashboard) or anything! Stupid mistake! Any way to get back in? |

Hi, you can restore your domain or IP address changing it in the database. Go to your phpMyAdmin application (http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin by default) and log in as "root" and the password the same that you set during the installation. Then change the "home" and "site_url" options in the "wp_options" database. You can find a quick guide at http://wiki.bitnami.org/Applications/BitNami_Wordpress/Troubleshooting_WordPress#WordPress_can_not_load_images_or_CSS Tried that, but got "Safari can't connect to the server..." which also reminded me that in addition my MySQL database has stopped running and won't restart. Yikes. I am on OS X (10.6.8).
